Higher readings

been type 2 and the fact i get no sodding help from the NHS at all
Hi

My average readings are between 4.9 and 6 but last few days getting 7.2 why would that be I've not changed my diet. Only thing is stress levels up

Yes, the worry of the numbers rising and stress will cause those numbers to rise. 7.2 is not that bad though. Keep monitoring and just try to understand that occasionally diabetes will throw you a curve ball !

i do panic tho when i get readings of 7.2 especially since they have been slow low up till now
 
Why ? 7.2 is not that high ! Your panic and stress will make things worse. Just try to understand that sometimes, no matter how careful you are, you'll get the occasional "odd" readings. Keep monitoring and I'm sure they'll soon return to normal. Until then, if you see a reading higher than you'd like, don't stress, go for a nice walk or something if you can :-)

You can get slightly elevated levels like you are seeing for a number of reasons, stress or you are fighting a bug without even realising you've got one. When this happens to me I've learnt the best action is to stop all testing for at least 24 hours then restart with a reading either just before bed or just before your main evening meal preferably when you are in a relaxed frame of mind after a bath or after imbibing your favourite tipple.

i see what you guys are saying, i think i just stressed as it was high for no reason. i do need to get out of my current job as its beyond stressful and its a desk job. i never been so fat and un healthy since i started office work, i wish i could get paid that same to walk around all day :(
 
i am back to normal now but over christmas i was eating sweets etc but they didnt make my levels go up
