Hi, I normally go to HIIT training in the evening time but this week I have to go early in the morning at 6am. I was wondering if I'd be able to do it without eating breakfast before as it might make me feel sick. Anyone know if it's safe to do this ?

Hi @aimeeo There's no reason why you can't do it without breakfast on board if you are on multiple daily injections and carb count as you wouldn't have a bolus injection, just do the usual BG check prior to exercise and taking glucose with you in case you go low :)

Thank you :)

I find that if I exercise first thing in the morning, before breakfast, I am less likely to go low afterwards or later on in the day. But if I eat and inject (I don't carb count) then I am almost certain to drop afterwards and probably a few times in the next 24 hours

Yeah that's what I was worrying about how it would affect my blood sugars for the rest of the day

The only way is to give it a go and find out. Because of what I said above, I try and exercise in the morning where possible and it really stops me from having hypos
