Just had another thought, Suzi. You now have the perfect response should your doctor ever ask you if you have trouble passing water. You can quite truthfully say that you once had a funny turn going over the Bixby Bridge.

Thank you for the compliment, Sue. I followed the rule of thirds and was so happy with the result that I set it as wallpaper on my computer.

Chateau de Chambord in the Loire Valley, taken from our hotel. If anyone wants contact details for the hotel, just send me a PM. I hasten to add that I have no connection with the hotel except as a satisfied customer.

That's been my problem for years now, Sue, I have permanently itchy feet. Living where we do, it doesn't take much to drive to France or Germany - 10 minutes or so and we're over the border. My wife told me the other day that she was beginning to get itchy feet again, and as it's her birthday next Thursday I called a very nice little hotel we know up in the Vosges Mountains in Alsace. We're leaving on Wednesday, driving back on Saturday. And in April we're going up to Normandy to spend a few days with my cousin and the new lady in his life. One of the reasons why we live in Luxembourg. :D

Keep posting the pics and the narrative Bill,I will probably never have the opportunity to travel but through your excellent tales and pics I can do so vicariously.Long may your feet itch!! :D
