Horrible body smell

I have a bath morning and night. After urinating I wash yet I feel I have a horrible smell.
I am typem2 and take 2 x 500 Metformin twice daily and 8mg pendropil

Could the medication cause this problem? My reading ate lunchtime was 8.2 somitmis not very high
 
Actually, I have stopped taking Metformin, and one of the most difficult side effects was the ghastly smell of rotten cabbages. Everything smelled bad, including, I felt, me.
Oddly no member of my family could smell this.
After two weeks the smell is fading, but I seem to have lost my sense of smell. Perfume, food, flowers. Nothing.
 
My (brief) experience of Metformin was that it gave me a vile taste in the mouth that tainted everything, food, drink, the very air.

I didn't last long enough to get through it, and see if it would have faded with time. Wish I had.

I also had this problem with metformin, but my sense of smell returned to normal after I stopped taking it.
 
I am here to report that six weeks after stopping Metformin the taste/smell is still with me, although much reduced. Goodness knows how long it will last.
Food still tastes horrible, still have some degree is bowel urgency.
Doctor has given me Glipimide. I am truly scared of taking this, it sits in the shelf until I can get my nerve up. Lol.
 
It is over three months since I stopped taking Metformin.
I still have some tummy upsets and the terrible taste/smell is still with me.
I can't smell anything else. Food tastes disgusting.
I am becoming quite worried that this drug has caused permanent damage.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
