Does anyone have any input re above? I came off Femoston-Conti HRT after 10 years (aged 56 and had early menopause), and now huge hot flashes back. So decided to try again and put on Angeliq, only a week so far! But my blood sugars seem really high, like the insulin is not "taking". I constantly need to correct dose. I have just started at the gym and active gardener again. I have had 2 and half years of eye problems, ops on them etc so not active. Seems like one sob and ache after another!!! Any ideas re the sugars being high. Is there some reistsance because of the body's constatnt hot flashes.I take min 4 tests per day, carb count and not finding much of a pattern Any input much appreciated. Thanks.
Last Hba1C Dec 2013 =60 mmol

I had a hysterectomy some years back which brought on hot flushes and of course 20-30 years of HRT. I found just as menstruation caused high blood sugars so did hot flushes. Next time I'm coming back as a man, I have pre-booked this with my God.

I can't help with the question about insulin as I am not on it but I am going through the menopause and can sympathise.

I was in a complete mess, my blood sugar was stable but the hot flashes and night sweats were unbearable, they were almost constant and my hubby had taken to sleeping on the sofa as he couldn't cope with my need to have the ceiling fan on full and a floor fan going with the window open in December , (I really am not exaggerating here), also I was only sleeping a couple of hours a night and then so restless was having to get up my mood swings were also affecting my family and my life in general.

For personal reasons I didn't want to go down the HRT route so did some research, there is a good site with a forum called menopause matters. A lot of women were raving about vitobiotics menopause range so though I would give them a go, I am a bit of a sceptic but tried the menopause extra, I have been on them a month and can't believe the change, I haven't had one hot flash through the day since starting them and my night sweats are almost gone to the point I can't remember the last one. I am also sleeping much better

They are not cheap at about £16 for a months supply but if you try them and they work they do a 3 for 2 in boots and also on the vitobiotics website, just check with you GP or chemist first that there are no contradictions to any meds you take

Meant to say you can take them along side HRT they are safe to do so
