- Cruelty. being in physical pain with my disability. Feeling 'drugged' out on prescribed medication that's needed for pain. Sleep problems.
I have never looked back since going on injections in July 15. I have Lixisenatide 20 mcg in the morning and at the moment 44 units of Humulin I at bedtime. I also have 2x Metformin slow release tablets after my evening meal.
I am really pleased I went on injections. It has made me take stock of things and I have changed my eating habits resulting in a loss, to date, of weight of 56 pounds (25.4 kg) since August 2015. Basically, I decided to live after years of just letting things slip, including other areas of my health. I was on a slow (or sudden) road to death before. I still have a lot of weight to lose and intend to lose it, but I take nothing for granted, even though I feel certain the road I'm on now, is the road I will stay on and I will get down to a much healthier weight. Life is always one day at a time.
I would suggest that having injections is nothing to worry about. The needles are minuscule. You rarely feel anything. I'm certain the benefits far out weigh anything else, especially when you see your levels going down.
