How do I make a photo smaller?

To upload on a thread. When I try to upload it the message states it is too large. I have no idea how to do it? Could any one point me in the right direction. Many thanks

When you say upload on a thread do you mean a pic ?

You need to change the image size to around 600 x 450 pixels on a forum like this. Either use Windows Picture Editor (try right-clicking on the image) or use a free downloadable image editor such as Irfanview.

Do you have a basic paint program. You can open and go to resize. Then save the smaller image.

Thank you guys for your help. Yes it is a photo and of a poorly finger. I was going to post it on a similar type thread. I will have a go thanks again

I actually did it and managed to resize to thumbnail size and posted it, not as difficult as I thought it would be. A BIG thank you. I'm going to resize another photo
