How do you clean up the blob of blood left on the end of your finger?

Anyone who asks a question about diabetes without thinking what they're asking.
I usually just suck it off. Some people find this disgusting. But hey ho. Does anyone actually bother usind a swab or something?
 
Nah, I lick it off too! Can't be bothered with faffing about with a bit of tissue or something, got better things to do!!

ive never used a swab, lick ere too
 
Wipe it on a tissue or lick it off...... but I'm not too keen on the taste.
 
So it's not technically cannabalism them? ;-) What if I were to say I liked the taste of my own blood? Would that wierd you all out lol? ;-)

A little bit!!!

I can smell blood. Don't know if anyone else can?
I work in a vets and the blood after the operations and things really smells!
I don't like the smell or the taste!

Another finger-licker here. When my db was first diagnosed in 2007 the hospital gave me some dinky little swabs, each separately packaged (different from the alcohol swabs they gave me to prepare the injection site for insulin). I've still got most of them.

Nurses once told me that you shouldn't use a tissue or swab (no where that you can throw it) and that you shouldn't lick it off. I ended up very confused aout what you should do with the drop of blood?

Type 2 diagnosed 24/01/2013.
Novomix 30, Victoza, metformin 2000mg sr (but not taking them as they play havoc with my insides,
 
I can't bear the thought of licking my blood. I don't even know what it tastes like. I use, and re-use, a tissue.
 
I most often lick but sometimes I smear it to over my fingers (esp if it is a small amount and it wouldn't be enough for a good strong taste)

@daisy1 is that only your blood you don't like the thought of licking? I assume you are not into vampire novels then
 
yep I'm a licker too . to much hassle looking 4 & carrying tissues.. if u don't get tissue out first u end up covering the whole pack in blood .
