How do you clean up the blob of blood left on the end of your finger?

You just reminded me of a thought I had of tattooing tiny numbers from 1-200 1/4 inch apart all over my belly to make sure I rotate injection sites!

Tattoos are not available on the NHS (but their removal is). There are thin plastic templates available, free of charge, for just this issue. The one I have covers the belly and the thighs. It is simply a thin sheet of plastic with 20mm holes in it. I had to lean on the specialist diabetic nurse pretty hard before she would even admit to having seen them, but eventually she produced one from her desk drawer - but that is the NHS for you.

always suck it off - only time I haven't is when I've been in hospital and someone else (a nurse) has been doing my blood tests and finger pricking for me - I was in no fit state to argue so I just let them wipe with alcohol swabs before and with tissue after. :)

Hope you're ok now?

Licking as well.

Does anyone else gets some red dots on their fingers in those spots? I think I should rotate my pricking areas as well as my injection areas!

BTW, my GP called finger pricking "stabbing yourself to check glucose" :)

I do! Sometime if I squeeze too hard, blood oozes out of half a dozen holes! I'm keeping to one finger in the hope it will turn to leather and wont hurt any more.

Finger stabbing is often used. Even my brother now asks me if I am off to stab myself. Sometimes people overhear and look horrified.

nothing like blood going in 3 different directions , the amount of times I've redecorated my living room where it's coming out of several holes :)
