Yes, I'm hearing that. Skipping supper is going to be considerably harder than skipping breakfast, which Dr. Fung points out most of us don't want to eat anyway, but your suggestion makes sense.Break the fast. have some lunch then stop eating?
18-6 where the 6 starts at 8 am and finished by 2 pm?
Dr Fung suggests that early in the day eating followed by fasting may be "better" although as it doesn't suit our lifestyles it becomes harder. You could always just try one meal a day breakfast or maybe some extended fasting to see if you can "cure" the DP .. it took ages for mine to normalise even skipping breakfast every day. It may just take a while.Yes, I'm hearing that. I find to combat the dawn effect if you get up, give a small amount of insulin and go for a walk blood sugar will come down quickly.Because I get an acute and long lasting dawn effect, with my BG numbers doubling between 5 a.m. and 2 p.m. while intermittent fasting, it has reasonably been suggested that I have a fatty, low carb breakfast upon arising. But does this not rule out intermittent fasting for me? I was doing an 18/6 most days but these high and long running dawn effect numbers are disturbing. In fact, only breaking the fast starts bringing them down.
