How has your day ( and your diabetes) been ?

How are you all doing.
You can write anything about your day and your diabetes here if you would like..

My day has been very busy and constantly on the go. It's been a pushing a huge boulder up a hill day today ( diabetes wise):arghh:

How are you doing o_O ?

I'm fine RRB, bit of a strange day diabetes wise, I was 4.3 pre-lunch and just tested again and I'm 4.3 again, might need to review my basal insulin me thinks.....

Lovely day for me, diabetes under control and my other half had the day off. Went to the water park and had a picnic :)

Hope everyone else has had a good day.

I'm not having a good day really. Two hypos, work very stressful and the world and his wife asking why I'm wearing gloves. Feeling like I have to explain myself a million times. You know you must look odd when the five year olds at school are questoning:(

Five hypo's today, can't believe that 5. First one at 9am and last one 6.40pm, I have even reduced my Insulin at each meal, not sure what's going on:confused: today, but I will keep testing! plus I'm exhausted..

aawww I hope the weekend is much better for you. Take care

Confusing.

My doses have been odd over the last couple of days. I've been using my normal ratios but going high at +2 hours.

This morning changed my cartridge, checked the pen delivery, OK.

Pre breakfast 5.8, +2hr 9.0
Pre lunch 4.8, +2hr 7.8
Pre dinner 4.8

Levels are coming back down OK by the next meal, so dose is obviously right, but I'm now getting concerned about timing as I'm reading Pumping Insulin

I have hypoed at least 3 times today and reduced my basal rate which seems to have stopped the problem.

I think it is the sudden increase in heat which is causing my problems today

I think mine is, a year or more ago I rarely hypo'd but then I never tested either :/
Looking back now, god knows how high I must constantly have been.

I went out with a girl who had T1 25 years ago for two years. She had 2 hypos during that period. Is the increase in hypos due to closer control of levels?

No. I've actually relaxed my rigid control a little lately (still good BS but not as tight as before). I just find a lot of things affect my sugars such as weather, stress, illness etc which is a pain.

Better than normal today (apart from a mild low during the night) :)
I have a waking rise, which I have to bolus for, and I take my Lantus at 6pm - but it doesn't quite last the full 24 hours.

I've had a good day not being at home and being in a different environment without all my plans and right out of my comfort zone but I've done okay really apart from not making sure I had a low carb breakfast on hand so kinda made a bit of a hash with that but what the hey, we live and learn. :)

By the looks of things there's a few of us need to review our basal insulin, as the weather gets warmer its quite common for insulin requirements to go down.
