How long do you give your medication to work?

After some troublesome times of late I asked for an increase in medication to try and get control of my level again. I was told to go from a 40mg tablet of gliclazide in the morning to 40mg in the morning and evening. I'm still averaging about 13mmol throughout the day but I feel awful. I get sudden bouts of nausea and I feel badly lethargic and grouchy . I feel unable to exercise, which is not good for my levels.

After three weeks should I not be used to this by now?

How long do I give it?

I can’t answer your question about increasing Gliclazide, but I have just read your other post from 2015 about your high levels. Did you ever modify your diet at all?

Hi. It's unusual for Gliclazide to have the sort of side effects you mention but we are all different. Are you also having Metformin which is the first T2 medication before Gliclazide? What sort of diet are you having?
