How many glasses of water are you allowed to drink
Ok thanksI didn't think there was a limit, unless you have kidney disease.
I simply drink when I'm thirsty, no different than before diabetes.

I simply drink when I'm thirsty, no different than before diabetes. Drink as much as you like; TBT, the more the better! It's good to flush out as much of the toxins, you, unwittingly, ingest, and its good for your kidneys... I speak from experience; having had kidney failure...
Although I am a T2 diabetic, I used to drink a lot of fluids, but after I had some heart problems and bad circulation I was put on a fluid resticted diet to get rid of the bloat in my legs. I lost 15 kgs while in hospital after they put a catheter in my bladder. How many glasses of water are you allowed to drink
Thanks for the adviceAlthough I am a T2 diabetic, I used to drink a lot of fluids, but after I had some heart problems and bad circulation I was put on a fluid resticted diet to get rid of the bloat in my legs. I lost 15 kgs while in hospital after they put a catheter in my bladder.
I am on 1.5 ltrs of fluids a day, now but in the hotter weather I can go to a maximum of 2.0 ltrs per day. I have my heart problems fixed, circulation is a lot better. I have my weight down to a acceptabe level of around ~80 kgs,.
I found it hard to do while I was in hospital I had alot of arguments with the doctor and some of the nurses over my daily fluid quota. Since being out of hospital I have manged to get rid of all of the bloat, plus got rid of my beer gut.
I live in the sub tropics here in Australia, and I have got used to the reduction and it does not bother me like it used to.
Keep drinking water until they tell you not to @Julia is a type 1diabetic
