I'm rapidly approaching 64 and was diagnosed T1D on 3rd October 1968, so I've just served 50 years with no hope of remission! As I don't really remember life without diabetes it hasn't felt like a burden. HBA1C results normally 50-55. Happy days

Hi, I'm 75 and diagnosed with type 2 12 years ago. I don't frequent the forum that often but I do like to come in now and then just to keep up.

Don't let diabetes control you, you have to control diabetes. I have done 64 years with it, and I still eat what I like and do the things I like, like playing in a forge. You can take back control, go for it.
