I see from your signature that your hba1c is remaining stubbornly high at over 65, and has been at that level for over a year.
I doubt that unless / until you get that into a healthier range, you will not see any reduction in your FBG.
Restricting carbs ( to anything less than 130g daily depending on need) can help lower hba1c, as can medication (short term or longer term depending on need) , as can a combination of the two.
Keeping your hba1c at 60+ is, in my opinion, the worst option out of all of those available to you
