how to maintain weight

Its funny also before i was on 2h mark on 7.0 i would go in hypo on 4h.

Now i am 6.6 on 2h mark and i stay there on 4 h mark .... dont drop juat stay :)
 
Speaking of that now i am
on 6.9 - 2.5h

Ate 180gr salmon , 50gr alminds, white cream, salad big one, olives and apple. And lemon.

Gave for 18 carbs 1.2 insulin

And due to salmon has around 45gr of protein j gave 1.5 unit of insulin for protein in dual waves 2h 50-50%.
Expecting to be on 5.5 at the end.

This diet rocks !
 
Also average sugar 5.7! Not a single spike!!!

My averages beforecwere mostly beetwen 5-7.0 byt i had to comoansare with one lower value in day so i get better average.
 
you got the hang of bolusing for about half the protein, you can google TAG total available glucose for more info.
it may take up to a month before you can hard exercise the same.
when your brain is running on 40% glucose and 60% fat, it has a hypo buffer, so your hypo symptoms may be reduced/different and chance of coma maybe much reduced

Totally agree that hypo's are totally different... Milder and not one even at night time that has needed a jog from hubby to say test... Not one since more fat..
 
The difference in Hypos is marked. My other half doesn't notice them now as the mood changes on glucose driven hypos are totally different to those once your brain is used to a fat based diet.

they did a LCHF test in the 60's, where they induced hypo by injecting insulin, from memory they had in under 2 and they were fine [as in not in a coma]

Today had small hypo in morning 3.5 ...

I have diffrent problem now, ibam not hungry anymore ? I cant eat 5 times a day and i feel full... today to be honest i cant eat lunch.... whynis this happening ? Somehow i am full but no bloated stomach full
 
I feel better than day 2.... today is day 5.

Tried with salt, i just feel fuul and cant eat :(
 
Read that already :) feels very strange.

Also i spoke with diabetic marathon runner on lchf and he told me... that if i am doing sports as much as him i shouldnt go under 60 carbs when i workout...

He said at least 30 cabs from rice,pasta or bread in that days. So body can have glycogen.

His problem was that he would hypo, on very los carb and body would feel very numb for whole day. So he added a bit carbs and now he runs even better and faster

So my meal plan
is something like this


15carbs piece of bread, almonds, tuna in olive oil and big big salad around 20 carbs


Lunch

Salad, broculli, chicken 200gr, cheese, avocado around 7 carbs

Snack

Avocado with something 9 carbs

Dinner


Nuts, salmon, salad, beans (green thing dont know name in english )
150 gr, rice 40gr - 20carbs all


And before bed 10 carbs because my boluses are set for snack but i think i will adjust them


So around 60 carbs per day

From that 30 from pasta, bread, rice
 
I'd probably go more starch veg, beans, peas, pulses than bread and pasta
brown basmati or just basmati rice is supposed to be the better rice
 
Okay my sever drops when i wa
k were making my life chaos ... i had to plan everything in super advance .... even walking of 10 min would bring me to hypo....


Today i woke up with 5.8 .... ate breakfast and had to go to city ... before i would have to add 20 fast acting xarbs on every hour and it was super depressing ...

Today i decided to try withoyt liwering basal or adding cafbs ....


We went for 35 min walk to caffe anxiety was killing me from hypo... camw there sat down ... i was so affraid... then i decided to meassure on 2.5h mark ... meqsssure ... i was 6.6!!!! I was shocked.... then they said lets go to other place ... i decided not to tweak anything ... started walking we walked for 1h with fast tempo ... came there ... during that 1h anxiety was still killing me causw i would already be in coma from hypo with previouse diet. Came there ... i rushed to meassure i was 5.2!

I guess i will still have fear drom hypoglicemka but in time i will be able to relax... and do normal things... cause my sugars arent droping rapidly anymore

Fat is the way to go ... btw do you eat mayonaise ? Is that okay ?

I am still having headeches but less, also i am tired ... but i guess it will dissappearvsoon
 
Workout done ... did workout for which i would need around 60carbs of fast acting or lowering my basal rate to 20% and 20carbs ....

Mayo is good
Home made is best (you know what's in it). I use half olive oil, half rapeseed oil, with erythritol instead of sugar. Very nice.
Helmans is made with all rapeseed, I think.
Watch the fancy flavours, they are often very sweetened.

My choice is to avoid oils rich in polyunsaturated oil (which is why I use the olive oil)
 
Full fat mayo good. I have dollops of it every might on my salad.

Well done on bloods today. Fats n proteins are much better for diabetics working out than high amounts of carbs... Which is what you are mow realising.

I used to be encouraged to eat carbs before my work gardening.... Naaah, its fats and protein for a longer balance..... At least for me it is something that I would recommend. A few carbs yes for that burst of energy on workouts but for actual better effects afterwards its the fat n proteins that keep your body aligned

Today i took kitkat due to unhappy accident, was late for job ... mornung sugar 4.2 lunch same 4.5 but i was sad that i took kitkat :(

you can use a tablespoon of homemade mayo every day easily with your other fats/oils, you really do have fats/oils with LCHF
if you are concerned put you food into a counter like my fitness pal and do a count... you may need to double check because its a user data base, but it's the better one I know of

6.9

Go for walk no carbs .

1h 40 min intense walking


2.5

Aproximatky 4.5 mmol down .


I wonder why it dropped so much inexpected to be more stable...

Btw i took tp2 honey spoons to get out of hypo.


How do u do this guys ? I want not to drop to hypo when i walk ... is it even possible on fat diet ?
