Hi, my MIL is leaving us a kg of fat free Greek yoghurt. It's disgusting!! Is there a way to make it edible or is it destined for the bin? I could bake with it too, if anyone has a nice low carb cake recipe.

Could you make it into a veg and berry smoothie. I know how disgusting that fat free greek yoghurt is. Goodness knows what they put into that glupe !

You could try adding tasty fat back by mixing it with double cream, or coconut milk.
Then add berries or chopped nuts or chopped chocolate, or combinations
Add milled seeds and leave it to thicken, adding flavourings above.

But it's relatively cheap so you could just bin it. Your body is not the bin and deserves good food.

I love the 0% fat fage greek yoghurt, I put a few berries, flaxseed and nuts in it. No nasties at all in it.
Me too, I much prefer the taste, but then I don’t like milk or a lot of cream either.

Spicy food which is too hot. Nasty people who have no idea on your life journey but feel the need to comment and be cruel.
Green and black cocoa powder makes it like chocolate pudding.

You can freeze yogurt- it will alter in texture slightly but if you freeze it in small portions then you can use it to finish off soups & sauces or make marinades such as tandoori. Use ice cube trays - I hate waste - I try to use everything for something if I can

IMO (opinion of one!!!) if you eat something to save wasting it, you've still wasted it.

Ditch it and have something diabetic-friendly you really enjoy instead.

To save ever being given it again (because no doubt it was intended as a kind gesture) explain you had an allergic reaction to the starch. Not too far from the truth.

I never eat something for that reason alone but I try to repurpose or use it up in different ways that are yummy, I use yogurts in sauces & marinades anyway, I suppose me being a chef it’s easier for me to think outside the box
