Does anybody know who we can contact regarding poor quality needles as part of the NHS prescription service?

I have had several needles of the same batch number of GlucoRx needles that feel blunt and do not penetrate the skin. I have contacted the manufacturer, but wondered if there is a central point within the NHS that can look in this further.

It's unusual as all other batch numbers have been fine and maybe 1 needle is unusable, however the last three boxes (same batch) has had a 5% unusable rate.

My prescription was changed to GlucoRx. The first week of using them I was suffering with bleeding after injecting. Then came finding one needle blocked, no insulin coming thro a brand new GlucoRx neddle.
I went straight away to my GP and had my prescription changed to 'BD Micro-Fine 0.23 x 4mm' the needle brand I have used for over twenty-five years. Sometimes the chemist tried to sneak the odd box of GlucoRx into my posession but I always check now before I leave the chemist. They know I will hand the Rx needles back.
Yes its to save the practice money but just dont stand for it, complain vigourously.

I've been using GlucoRX 4mm for several years with virtually no problems. I use only one needle a day and occasionally at the last use it can be a bit blunt but still goes in with no pain or bruising.
