My Accu-Chek Performa-nano meter appears to have given up after two years. It flashed code E7 so I followed the instructions and it died. I tried new batteries and it still stayed dead. Any suggestions welcome. Or is it time to get a new meter? If so recommendations welcome here too - I'm well-controlled type 2 so I only use the meter sporadically. Thanks.

It's time for a newie.

I use a Contour Next, which I have found to be as reliable as my old Abbott Freestyle Lite meter that I replaced it with.

It also has a good mobile phone app to upload your bgl readings via bluetooth.

I got it free as well in Australia, so it might be free in the UK.

Call the manufacturer and ask for a replacement.
Given they make their money from the test strips, they should be happy to encourage you to continue buying more strips.

Hi,

It is worth a try calling Roche. They sent me a spare meter along with a natty leather phone style case, for gratis.
