I am a type 2 diabetic 78 years old male. I was put on a daily dosage of 500 mg metformin twice daily. I have been having serious sweating mostly in the night. I tried eating very heavy supper to no avail. Can I reduce the dosage by half, I.e. taking 250 mg instead of the 500 mg. I have been controlling my calories and carb intake. Could that be the cause
