Here's the transcript of the humorous poem. Note: colleen = an Irish girl.

T'was an evening in November,
As well I can remember,
I was strolling down the road in drunken pride,
Man, my knees were all a-flutter,
As I landed in the gutter
And a pig came up and lay down by my side.

And I lay there in the gutter
Thinking thoughts I could not utter,
When a colleen passing by was heard to say
‘Sure, you can tell a man who boozes
By the company he chooses’ -
And the pig got up and slowly walked away.
