Hunger & Blood Glucose Reading

I can see a trend here unless you are is insulin resistance. I am not insulin resistance so it makes sense.
 
I think that the 'fixed mealtimes' for Diabetics is only/mainly for Type 1's.
This is an outdated practice for T1's, left over from the days of mixed insulins. It's sad that even many HCP's believe this to be true.
Nowadays the standard is either a basal/bolus regime or a pump, the basal to keep us stable without food, the bolus to deal with food.
 
Why eat when you're not ready for it? My BG is at its highest in the early morning (still) although high in this context is probably around 5.5 max. It then drops steadily throughout the day and by the time I eat in the evening it can be in the low 4s. I don't ever feel hungry the way I used to. It's more now a feeling that I'm ready for some food. Since low-carb, second helpings have stopped too - I simply don't want them.
