o_O Does other womens husband keep talking when your posting on the net....my hubby has the TV on the news channel and answers what they say ....then turns to me and starts telling me the ins and outs of what he is saying and I have to answer him or he thinks I am not listening which in fact I am not haha...I just wondered wether this was the norm with men as I always thought women was the gender that talked a lot lolo_O:p:singing:

Yep I have same problem with mine. He loves talking especially in the morning. I'm a quiet person in the morning.

I am quiet too, just like to drink my tea and get on with things. I do have a teenager though, but, not first thing in the morning  :)

I worked at a car dealership and started at 8am and my goodness, the men (sales) could talk the hind legs of a donkey ;)

My dad does exactly this, and boy does it get annoying! Normally I ignore him when he starts doing this so he shifts his focus from me to my mum and then back to me when he knows she's not listening.

It always happens when we're all sat down watching tv - my dad decides to give a running commentary on what's actually happening, like dad we know we can see

I'm female, have worked many jobs, including nursing (mainly female workforce) and in polar ice & climate research (male majority workforce). The male researchers were far more gossipy than the nurses. They were helped by being able to take their coffee breaks at the same time, of course.

Its so aggravating when they do that, my hubs does it and eventually I have to say give it a rest, or something similar,.......

I think in my house hubs and I are somewhat even. I tend to talk most when we're in the car or out somewhere, hubs though can chat for fours with his family/friends on the phone.

We live in a household where music or TV or videos are paramount and that's only when it's on. I talk less than Marcel Marceau and that guy was a loudmouth.

and it will be some drivel about golf, cricket or bloody Stargate. Throw buns at him.

I can only speak from personal experience - in our household, Mrs hay-char and our daughter can (and do) talk the hind legs off a donkey whilst me and my son are positively Trappist :D

Oooo I was with you all the way until you got to bloody Stargate. But to be fair I had to watch that by meself. Mmmmmm RICHARD DEAN ANDERSON !!!!!!!
Mine talks through everything. Then says why / what / who / ????? Watch the bleedin thing please. We can't watch anything with subtitles cos he'd have to wear his glasses. Constant pausing ruins the flow and turns an hour programme into 3 hours of torture.
I let him watch what he wants now and I'm on here or reading something. Then he wants to discuss why Ray Mears did ..... I don't flippin care! Ray you are lovely but I'm not interested.

Wow, quite Women, that's a first, lol
I am also quiet in a morning , I love to read the forums and to eat my breakfast in peace whilst hubby watches the news and reads the paper....by the end of it I know all the news of the day and whats in the paper o_O or I should do should I say :woot: I only listen to half of it ;)
