Congrats on making it to the diagnosis line!

So what are their suggestions regarding treatment, diet, lifestyle and medication? Have they told you what to expect?

And didn't we have someone else posting recently on the RH board with the same diagnosis? Hopefully you can compare notes and experiences.

As I've already said it's good to get (at last) your diagnosis. Hopefully you will be feeling the benefits of your new lifestyle without them nasty carbs! (They are evil aren't they?)
A couple of questions tho. Regarding your OGTT.
How high and how quickly did you spike?
And when did you hypo?

Wishing you well.

yes i had another hypo a couple of hrs after the sachets

That's why I would not have glucose or any form of sugar after a hypo.
I would only have something like one plain rich tea biscuit and a cuppa to slowly raise my bloods back to normal. I had the same experience after my first OGTT and for a test that lasted five hours, I was there for twelve because of recurring hypos.
Make sure you tell them next time if you have another OGTT.
Being weird with the excessive insulin, we shouldn't invite our pancreas to go mad afterwards!
Always make sure that you have something low carb as a small meal after you get back to normal levels.
Bloody hospital protocols!
Don't they know about hyperinsulinaemia and RH?

Obviously not!

Hope you are ok!

But it was the glucose that would have given you the hyper then hypo, probably not the biscuit and the cuppa.
You should not have had the glucose after your first hypo! It is standard treatment in hospitals to treat hypos with glucose.!
It isn't for us weirdos!
It is probably one of your triggers, like me, that gives you the excessive insulin.
Bet you felt awful for days after?

That's good!

Keep well, keep in touch with how things are going!

Best wishes.
