Hi everyone,
I’m new to posting to this group and I’ve not been in a forum before. I’m just looking for someone who has the same condition as me.
I have hyperinsulism and type one diabetes. I have 5% of my pancreas left after a pancreatectomy which still overproduces, I have to take creon as well as test, carb count etc just have the added issue that my pancreas likes to make me hypo sometimes by giving me a bit extra. If you have the same condition please let me know, thank you for reading.

Hi @Faith_exx and welcome to the forums.

That does seem like an unusual combination. Do you mean T1 or T3c? (T3c is pancreatic diabetes).
We have a T3c forum here
https://www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/category/type-3c-pancreatic-diabetes.73/
though you are welcome to post on any forum you like.

Do you have to inject insulin as well as having to deal with hypos when your pancreas decides to overproduce? (Personally, as a T1, I loathe hypos with a passion.)

I was always told by hospitals it’s T1 but my diabetes is due to having my pancreas removed. I have never heard of T3 or anything else I only know of T1 and 2. I have an insulin pump to manage my diabetes and yes to having to deal with both. I go days sometimes not needing my pump as I can sit between 5-8 I do need to put my pump on with meals though, those days without anything but then other times I go really high and nothing can bring me down.
