I have been t2 for a year, bloods were really high to begin with doctor said was over like 68 HbA1C anyway have been more careful with diet, and sugars at least reading were showing 42 HbA1C...

Today I'm sitting and feel fine, and check blood sugar 1h ago... it was 4.7 mmol, check it just now and it is 4.1 which is normally well withing me feeling it in terms of hypo. So far nothing.... and recently I've been noticing my blood sugar has gone back up on its own.... admittedly I always felt shaky and whatnot but now as of this moment I feel normal.

Is this normal? am I getting better - what gives? I'm so confused.

You haven't said which diabetes medications you are on, and this is important when it comes to lower levels in case you are heading for a proper true hypo.

For someone not on insulin or strong drugs that stimulate the pancreas there is nothing abnormal about levels in the 4s, or even high 3s if you feel OK. Your levels will be going back up on their own because your liver is sending extra glucose to your blood stream in the belief you need it. This is perfectly normal and is just your liver looking after you..

As I see it, you're making progress and your body is getting used to lower levels so you wouldn't feel it.

4.1 and then climbing is perfectly normal in the absence of insulin affecting drugs.
