Crowds of people, my idea of hell would be a huge gathering of any sort!

Heights, scare me to death!
Liars, cheats. poseurs, any kind of violence, thieves and people who take advantage of others.

The way the world is going to hell in a handbasket.

Global warming, the melting ice caps, whaling..I mean what for?!

Cruelty

Having to give up my eat everything philosophy..and I really really dislike consequences.
I know what hypo symptoms are, I've had them now and then. Last night my reading was only 2.8 which is the lowest I have ever been before bed. I brought it up with some jelly beans. My question is: I had no hypo symptoms at all so is it still a hypo? Bit like if a tree falls in the forest but there is no-one to hear it, does it still make a sound?

I am guessing that it is still a hypo which might become a diabetic coma but that I am becoming less sensitive to the symptoms. My own logic tells me that it's not possible to function without any glucose in the blood and that dire consequences might ensue if I don't test now and again.

Lol...maybe I've answered my own question but I would love other opinions on this and how other people deal with having hypo's with no symptoms. Remember that this was at night and during the daytime if I am driving I make sure there is no danger of any kind of hypo by having a bit more carb before I go out.

Thank you! :D

Hi popsy,

Never been as low so do not have any advice but will bump your post up for replies.

Take care,

CC.

2.8 is a hypo. The fact you didn't recognise it is a little worrying. If you lose hypo awereness it can affect your ability to drive as the DVLA can revoke license if hypo awareness is lost. Hopefully, it's a one off. To help regain awareness, it's suggested to run your BG levels a little higher than normal for a couple of weeks.

Sounds to me like you need your dose of Glipzide reduced. You shouldn't be eating carbs to match your meds.

Hi - I know exactly where you are coming from. My lowest was yesterday at 2.5 and didn't notice until I stopped my exercise. However, mine is a change of meds as I am trying to reduce my insulin. I would suggest speaking to your DSN - as said above if your blood sugars are low your medication should be looked into and possibly reduced.

Thanks for that all. Good info and reducing my meds sounds like a good idea. I will take all the advice on board and have a good think. :)
