Hypo wristband alarms....

Hi...my daughter has very recently been diagnosed as type 1. A friend of a friend has recommended a Hypoglycemia wristband alarm. .. i worry myself sick some nights thinking what if she gets ill during the night. I've looked at some reviews and people say they're excellent. My daughter is 9...has anybody got any reviews at all on using one? Any help wud be much appreciated.
