What is classed as a hypo I haven't really
Had this unexplained to me by a medical professional past few nights I've woke all shaky sweaty and weak and when I've done my bm it's been in the low 3s is this bad is this a hypo what should I do ?

Test before you sleep I go to bed in the 10 to 12 range and wake in the 5s if its lower than this have a snack something with long gi eg banana , toast as if it takes hours to break down and get into you're blood system the less chance you have of going hypo through the night hope I've helped keith ( working Nightshift ) ;)

Blood below 4 is classed as a hypo yes how you feel when you wake up low have you had hyops awake ? Feeling confused , yawning , shakes , looking pale , raising your voice but not noticing , unable to answer simple things , we are all different I have 4 diabetics t1 working with me and my self t1 30 years all or just some of this you will learn to look - feel for the feelings if it goes lower than 2.5 you might want to hide in silly places and sleep ! That's what I do but my team keep a look out for all of us so only done this twice at work :)

Think I've only been hypo once during the day but I think it's all down to working night shift effects my meds

What are the symptoms of hypoglycemia?
The main symptoms associated with hypoglycemia are:

Sweating
Fatigue
Feeling dizzy
Symptoms of hypoglycemia can also include:

Being pale
Feeling weak
Feeling hungry
A higher heart rate than usual
Blurred vision
Temporary loss of consciousness
Confusion
Convulsions
And in extreme cases, coma

Above are the symptoms of a hypo taken from the diabetes.co.uk website.
A hypo is below 4.

I tend to go to bed with my sugar around 5-6 (no snack) and wake up with it between 4-5.
So don't feel you have to go to bed with it between 10-12 as an above member suggested.

I personally don't get all those symptoms when going low but they are just the ones listed.

If my sugar is high I feel thirsty, maybe a bit bouncy / hyper sometimes, need to go to the toilet more regularly. It can also affect my vision. I find it harder to tell when I am high than when I am low.

As a type 1 it's anything below 4 for me, main symptom is feeling hungry followed by slight confusion and needing a pee desperately :( if it gets too low then its the shaky and sweating symptoms which are really unpleasant, not had one like that for a while........thankfully!

No problem. I'm sure you will get more used to it - 3 months isn't a long time! This website is very helpful to find out info.

Just had a close call. I felt shaky and unsteady, dizzy and sweating like hell. I was removing the old kitchen and suddenly had a dip. My kind daughter went to the shop and got a full fat coke as I was out of fruit juice and we all have sugar free pop. Half a glass of coke and 15 mins rest and I feel much better already. Just thought I'd share in real-time.

Thanks. Just had another stint until I was knackered, but not dizzy. Still sweaty and some of the stuff was a load of old weights from the back shed a cooker and 72 panes of greenhouse glass, which are heav when lumping 4 of em about 100 metres and placing them carfully over the side of the skip. I can hardly hold my phone now. Back to recharge mode.

Anyone know if headaches are associated with being diabetic or hypos ?

I sometimes get headaches if my sugar is high.

I get a dull thunmping when low and like my mind has been switched onto slo-mo.

I get a intense sharp headache and dry, gritty feeling eyes when running particularly high for a while.

Can get a groggy headache for sometime from either a bad hypo or coming down from a high. Happy to say not had either for a while now (fingers crossed, it carries on like that)

Yes - headache common for me when my sugars have dropped below 4. I also feel as though I'm not in the room and can't hear people properly if they're talking to me. I would treat anything below 4 as a hypo.
When I'm high the main sign for me is extreme tiredness and I get really hot. The tiredness is like nothing else so I'm always nearly 100% right when it happens and can expect to see blood sugars over 14!!
