Type 2
Hi, I was diagnosed 4 years ago with type 2 diabetes. Metformin was tolerable but then had to have additional meds which didnt suit me, made me gluten and lactose intolerant. The end result was insulin, twice daily. I test 4 times a day and am very careful what I eat and drink. My blood pressure is a little high but have always been told "No further action" when I have done the heart monitoring. All other functions are good, cholesterol level is oonly just over 3!!!! Long story short I had a weird pain in rightside of my chest, went to the doctors, had ECG then and there. Two trips to hospital for another ECG and Echocariogram, nothing abnormal.....then I got a letter asking to go for blood tests and pre-op discussion!!!!!! I am to have an angiogram next week. What I dont understand is why the cardio nurses say I should be on statins and bloodpressure meds!!!! As well as "eat your breakfast" but the leaflet says dont!!!!! What to do......am getting so worked up over this.....is there anyone out there to help?

Hi @Jamdragon sorry to hear you plight. I can only suggest you call your GP and insist on a call back from the GP as a minimum. It is urgent in the sense there is a deadline
