Thank you all for your replies. As explained the diary I posted was what I was doing on my diet to lose weight and was also a day where I know I had high carb treats also. I realise I need to change what I have been doing and a guide of how many carbs to eat per day is what I was hoping for and, Enclave, thank you for giving me an idea of what you consume. I have now amended my diary levels for carbs, proteins and fats to what I hope is a more favourable level and see how this goes over the next week and revise again if I still have a problem with my BG levels.
I will no doubt be back with more questions but for now I think I have enough info to help me work things out more sensibly. I am fortunately at the lower end of pre-diabetic and with the tweeks to my diet I am hoping to get back into non-diabetic range.
