(I felt the need to edit my post because I had written 'success stories' which implies someone has overcome their diabetes - and this is where I think your concern might be)

And my blood-sugar levels are almost normal. Diabetes is regarded as a chronic, permanent condition, but if my doctor was testing me today for the first time he’d probably say I don’t have it.

Not entirely, it is if you follow the NHS guidelines, if you have great control and keep your BG Levels low then there's no reason you have to have progression. My wording if slowed down is just that, if I have slowed down progression to an almost standstill then all good, I don't think you can stop it completely as this would then be a "cure"![]()
