Diabetes!!
I might just stop taking my insulin, eat whatever I like. Because eating healthier doesn’t seem to be making any difference. I WON’T be able to do all this carb counting ****! I like carbs WAY too much!! I feel like giving up and just ending it. It’s not doing my mental health any good at all. I’m fed up of being tired and HUNGRY all the time!!

Why would you starve? with t1, you can even eat cakes, the main thing is to properly dose insulin for this. Why would you die such a slow and painful death as giving up insulin? carbohydrates are not very difficult to count, you will master it at about the same speed as you learned the multiplication table

Hi,

Firstly, don’t stop your insulin. You may well feel more tired & hungry as BGs rise with nothing to basically help the blood sugar power your body?
I gather you are recently diagnosed? Carb counting for dosing insulin is a pain. But even the experienced get it wrong.
I appreciate you are also having possible frustration on your other topic regarding the Dexcom.

Best wishes..

There are many members on the forum who have managed their diabetes for decades , and yes it can be a pain but please don't give up, take pride in the fact that you can manage your problem and live a long and happy life , and you will if you treat yourself with respect you can in years to come say with pride I did it !

It's early days yet. It really will get easier. I am sure having T1 is a pain, but the upside is that you can eat whatever you want as long as you know how to bolus for it. These early days are baby steps towards that point. Hang on in there, don't stress about a few highs just yet, it's more important to not have bad hypos.

Agree with all the others, you will get the hang of this @Neckarski_94 . Don't hesitate to reach out to your team if you want more help on dosing and there is plenty of moral support here if you want to vent.

Diabetes really is a marathon and not a sprint and you don't need to get it right all the time.

I'm looking forward to cheering you on when you finally get moved to a basal bolus regime and start to get the hang of adjusting your doses. For now, have some virtual hugs.
