I am Asian ; we eat lots of rice , 3 times a day.It's our main diet.I used to cook noodles / pasta before cooling them down I mixed the in some olive oil then let them cool down for 12 hours before reheat it in the microwave.
In South East Asia we have a high rate of Diabetes because of high intake of carb ( read it from some where)
If you want to eat the rice make it slow carb release.Take a look in this link:

I eat carb but between 50 to 100 g depending on on my activities during the days.
