Me too but I have to say both times (2 yrs post diagnosis and low carb here) it was pretty disappointing. Really don’t miss potatoes at all For taste, just the convenience sometimes away from home or the ease of a jacket potato

I hope I haven’t given the impression that I eat a lot of potatoes as I only tend to have small portions - 2 roasties, couple of new ones, a few chips and tablespoon or 2 of mashed. I have also just started reintroducing jacket potatoes into my diet and found that my BS stays within acceptable levels.

I admit I do still miss potatoes - prior to the big D over 3 years ago now, I would have baked potatoes most days for lunch with every kind of filings - I was probably slowly killing myself !

I love spuds to haven’t had a spud or a chip in 2 yrs since diagnosis . But No meds and happy to stay that way .

I do like potatoes, and having discovered that I can tolerate one or two foods that are comparatively high unrefined carb, thought I'd try testing potatoes. Had (literally) a dozen very nice, cooked in lard chips...and produced my highest post-meal spike ever. So not for me. Anyone who can tolerate potatoes is lucky, in my opinion, but if it's drug assisted, then it's not really you tolerating the potatoes, is it?
