Hi @louise rycroft , welcome to the forum.

I suppose you've had the c-peptide tests because your doctor suspected T1 as well.
Low/undetectable c-peptide is usually not seen in T2's and very common in T1's.

Are you being treated by a GP or by an endo?
I see you're on insulin, what type(s) of insulin are you on, and is this treatment working well for you?

@louise rycroft I agree with @Antje77 , untraceable C-Peptides means you are producing very little, to no insulin. C-peptides are a by-product of insulin production. We cannot diagnose on the forum. What I would say is, in general, it takes a long time for the pancreas' beta cells to deplete in T2. 6 years is a very short time to see complete destruction of beta cells. I would very definitely push your Dr to re look at your diagnosis.

Well if you're not making any insulin of your own then it makes sense that you are on injections. Can I ask what sort of insulin regime you are on and whether you get a cgm on the nhs ? T1s qualify for better tech on the NHS so it may be worth pushing for a referral to an endocrinologist if you feel that a rediagnosis would be helpful.
