I really need advice please help a Type2.

Sorry may I ask if you would know why the Diabetic Nurse only seems interested in my morning pre breakfast bg?

Probably because she only has a little understanding of diabetes? The morning bg measure is not of great importance. The post meal 2 hour reading is much more significant.
 
I should have added in my last post that Late onset T1 sounds very likely. Many of us have been thru it. I was 60 when first diagnosed. I heard the oldest recorded was age 90! LADA's often have weight loss around diagnosis as the body stops being able to use glucose properly and it burns fat creating ketones. Yes, do go to A&E if you feel unwell and the blood sugar remains in the high 20s/30s. Be prepared for the possibility of moving on to insulin but this is not the problem it may seem and does really control blood sugar.
