I was thinking of starting a local group where I live (Halstead, Essex.) and have been looking through the (https://www.diabetes.org.uk/local-groups-portal/starting-a-local-group), But I personal feel that I do not have the skills or the confidence to take on such a undertaking. As the nearest local group for me is in Suffolk.

A worthy project to set up a local group, support group or dietary help would be fantastic. However https://www.diabetes.org.uk is a separate organisation to this forum, which is run by diabetes.co.uk. So no one here will really know what qualities you have to have to be one of their group leaders.

I have had to put this project on the back burner for now as I cannot find the right support to start a local group.
