Is ice cream ok? It's high fat, right...? Please tell me it's ok?!

Unfortunately no... 24g per 100g CHO.

Eat it and test to see if you can tolerate is the only answer.

Most ice creams contain a lot of sugar. But a small amount doesn't affect me. You should test to see how it affects you.
There is a low carb ice cream made with sweetener, called OPPO which is ok for diabetics. It's sold in Waitrose, Holland & Barrett. Co-Op and Budgens.

A small amount won't hurt - try it and see - frozen yoghurt maybe a better option

I never knew this, on my shopping list.

Try freezing some double cream if you want that cold experience.. maybe add some carb free sweetener if that's your thing.
I reckon about an hour in the freezer makes it frozen round the outside with a gooey centre.

I have the Mackies chocolate ice-cream .. just a small ramekin size pot with nuts and berries .. no impact on my numbers .. now in remission and can have a big bowl if I want .. but its more special in a small amount :)

we make our own yogurt with 33 % cream and add some berries , sunflower , other seeds or nuts it tastes delicious
