No food is “disallowed” it’s down to what you think is acceptable for you, :) we are all different, I sometimes have a very small scoop of vanilla with an espresso poured over when out for a meal. Or a couple of spoonfuls of hubby’s icecream.

If I’m at home a quick fix to icecream is to put some frozen berries in with double cream or yogurt and use a stick blender to wizz it up - melts quickly but hits the spot, you add sweetener if you choose to.

I also have a freezer plate that I use to make all sorts of flavours but that has to be eaten right away too. Some members make their own proper icecream but I don’t eat it often enough to do that

I have a single small scoop, but find most commercial ones too sweet these days. Morrisons do a Caffè Latte that is relatively low in carbs that I like. Also some of the so called high protein can be lower carb, but are highly processed. Look at the list of ingredients !!!
Make my own using berries and a mix of double cream and yoghurt freeze as lollies as it too hard to scoop.
Be guided by your meter and what it does to your bg

There’s a make of ice cream called Oppo which is lower carb than regular commercially made ice cream. I haven’t had it for years but seem to remember that two small scoops was around 10g carbs. As said before it very much depends on how low carb you are.
