go and see your gp again, explain about the wait ask for a referral to see a consultant privately it will cost about £25 to £100,but you will be seen within a week and advised on your problem, then see the nhs consultant in april, bet its the same one lol.

hi ness, you may or not , have heard about liver dump!. this is when you have been fasting overnight, the liver releases its store of glucose to get you going, this is what raises your BGs in the morning. it should eventually stop happening lol.I asked my gp if he would make a referral, but he refused because he doesn't see the need. As far as he's concerned, 'we're doing alright' and to wait until April is perfectly reasonable.
My bg is coming down generally (got a 5.9 yesterday afternoon), but the pattern is really bizarre - it's really high in the mornings, even after a 12 hour fast.
