I am trying to compile a list of good meals that don't involve too many ingredients. Can you tell me one meal that fits all the criteria?

salad and protein of choice (usually tuna, or ham or chicken) with lovely full fat mayo on.

green veg and protein of choice with a big dollop of buter on

: )

What sort of foods do you like? It is a very difficult question to answer. We all like different foods, and have differing tastes. Are you talking cook from scratch recipes, or meals such as meat and veg?

for my main meal I slice up 3 mushrooms and 2 stalks of celery and 65 grams of turkey mince and a tablespoon of olive oil with a little parsley and some salt, and cover up the electric fry pan and go away for 20 minutes or so

I have also found tinned mackerel a nice meal [king oscar brand]

breakfast is usually 2 eggs and 2 bits of bacon

that gives me about 900 calories and only 5 grams of carbs all day and the calories from fat and protein are roughly equal as it is supposed to be on a keto diet

i cannot have some foods which would be entirely suitable because i have a nightshade allergy also. also the diabetes destroyed my calcium in my gums so i cannot chew foods so i opt for overcooking rather than lovely raw salads

what most of us here were probably not told is that the liver makes glucose out of carbs AND protein

this is why on keto you have to up your fats and keep carbs and protein to whatever level is right for you

so far i went from blood glucose of 20.5 to 5.2 in under a month and lost 10 kilo in the same amount of time

My favourites are stirfry, gammon and egg, cauliflower rice, celeriac (although takes effort), more eggs, avocados

Has to be Aldi microwave cauliflower rice with added garlic red chilli ,coriander and butterflied chicken breast with a coat of garlic butter.

Fish pie with celeriac mash and grated cheese

@NewTD2. Mate, where have you been. All of those recipes that you have sent to me have been most helpful, but insulin has been a major problem. The Endocrinologist and I are at odds at administration levels and He is so Hypo about Hypos. I overtake everything so seriously. He thinks 6.0 to 10.0 is okay. That does not fly with me at all. I am glad to see ya mate.

For my first meal of the day, my go to breakfast is usually a Tin of Lidl sardines in tomato sauce, nuked with some green veg. (I sometimes use lettuce if that's what's at hand. As far as I'm concerned, all the delicate 'greenies' whether spinach, all varieties of lettuce, taste similar. I love them) It comes to no more than 5grams of carbs.
