If you only could.....

Pizza and tiramisu. Washed down with a couple of glasses of white.

Dollops of mash and turnip with a pile of meat and huggings of apple sauce and thick gravy. Brussels so high you'd need a ladder to reach the top.
Sherry trifle cheesecake or a fresh cream chocolate cake for afters with ice cream or cream. Chewy meringue with fruit and whipped cream would do though.
Doorstep of Galaxy to nibble while slobbing on the sofa watching Criminal Intent or Grimm.
I'm psychologically full now, just trying to convince my stomach, I've just eaten it.

Oh dear. I keep coming back to this thread. My trouser hem line is stretching just through reading about all this lovely food :D

......know exactly how you feel! I'd forgotten about mash, gawd a couple of dollops and I'd be in potato heaven, even lumpy mash like my ex used to make was good ~ I swear he did it deliberately but it never put me off lol....oh, and more cookie dough ice cream than you can pile on a plate.....:p

donuts, doughnuts, do-nuts

and deep dish pizza

and Ben & Jerry's Cookie Dough ice cream

and a big bowl of pasta and veg

and a Mars bar

and..........I'm seeing how I got into this mess!

......eat what you like, without any restrictions, what would you choose to eat for a meal....?? What do you miss...??....

I often read through the threads but haven't contributed much.....I value all the advice I've seen as its often very helpful but how about a bit of fun....??

I think I'd have a ginormous jacket potato with baked beans and cheese......then, to follow, an even more ginormous slice of vanilla and lemon cheesecake or maybe a huge portion of cookie dough ice cream.....

What about you...??? :p

I do this winter evenings when been working out in the cold all day...

crusty white bread and butter, then crusty white bread toasted with butter, then crusty white bread with butter then ...

That's just cruel ...

Just add bacon and HP sauce to the crusty bread and I need to go and have a cold shower.

Croissants. Crunchy nut cornflakes or Coco pops. Even Grape Nuts.

Butter and then the crust white bread, then mor butter, oh and more butter.....love butter.

Mmmmm garlic bread....( ooh lashings of extra garlic butter...mmmm!!)

I love this thread because when I read it I can tell instantly if it's going to be an easy or a tough day for me. Today I don't want anything I can't have. Tomorrow....well I'll let you know.:)

....thanks zand, just thought I'd start it for a bit of fun as sometimes I get a bit OCD about what I eat, so many rules and regulations to diabetes...

...Right thats it, off to work, there's a nice cafe on the way, may stop off for a huge bacon baguette and a couple of large caramel muffins.......................in my mind...:D

Well not so much a meal, more a real treat "Rum Truffles". A couple of years ago on holiday my Hubby went to his favourite shop in Newquay and bought about half a pound for me. Thinking he. Was treating me. Well at the time I wasn't taking much notice of my diabetes. I use a mobility scooter due to Osteoarthritis, and put the truffles in my front basket eating a couple now and again when we stopped. By evening dinner time I felt to heady to go down for Dinner. I sat up in bed. Well you might have guessed it . I finished the rest.
Stupid I know ( You live and Learn) can't resist the damned things.

Hot crusty homemade bread with marmalade, roast chicken with oatmeal stuffing and tatties (ooohh tatties), cadbury's flakes with a cuppa, pringles crisps (sob) sticky toffee pudding with salted caramel ice-cream...thanks for the memories oh yes and diabetes...goodbye - hello the newer, slimmer and healthier more energetic me! nice to dream though but wouldn't change back! Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels!
