Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum and just wanted to say hello. I'm 25 and was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes 4years ago. It took 4 years of me getting sicker and sicker before i was finally diagnosed. I'm needle phobic and have found the whole diagnosis very difficult! My husband does all my injections and is totally fantastic. I had my son 2 years ago, which was a diabetic pregnancy which was very difficult too but worth it. I've also got problems with my stomach and vomiting. My mum has type 1 and was diagnosed when she was 24. But she took it all in her stride and don't seem to understand how I feel. So Ive been joining forums in the hope of finding people to talk to. Thanks for reading. :)

HELLO !
Congratulations !!! You have just found a brilliant website. I found it by chance about 3 weeks ago.
There are lots of people that can give you help and support.
I am type 2, so don't understand your problems. But stay around as there are lots of people that will see you post and help you.
All the best to you.

Hello and a big hello to the forum Vornybobs :)
Have you been tested for Coeliac disease, as you mentioned stomach problems and vomiting, those were two of my Coeliac problems, but you should see your GP about your ongoing symptoms and hopefully get a diagnosis of some kind.

Take care RRB :)

They have tested me for coeliac and crohns but I have neither. The doctors just seem to guess n try n give me tablets to sort it, which don't help. As I can't keep anything down when I'm vomiting. I've asked for tests for other conditions like CVS and gastroparalsis but I just get fobbed off or ignored! I try my best to manage my sickness n try to prevent it happening because I end up really ill and usually end up needing to be admitted to hospital to get it IV fluids and strong anti sickness thought IV. Its also caused me to be dka on several occasions.

Yer, I've been looking in to insuljet. Which has no needles at all but not sure if my doctor will let me have it due to cost!
