I just signed up for this and I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to do so umm...I'm a 15 year old student who likes to draw anything that i find interesting :hilarious: even if some people find the stuff I draw weird or messed up.(I post my art on Instagram as great_bread)

I've been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes after I got one of my kidneys operated because it was bleeding from the outside(???) I'm not exactly smart about the whole thing so I can't explain it very well.

I have also recently gotten into an obsession of collecting Japanese toys/figurines(Hyped on getting my first two nendoroids very soon this month). I also enjoy spending my time reading comics or watching videos whenever I'm not busy.

you have done a good job of introducing yourself.........:)

its a strange set of circumstances that have brought you here........could you explain further......

was something damaged during surgery etc?

well I had to get surgery because my one of my kidneys were bleeding because I keep on bumping to sharp edges on the lower part of my stomach.

My kidney then stopped working properly because it was healing from the operation(???)I'm still not very sure on how to explain the whole thing.

as the kidneys and liver are all connected in the production of hormones and all work along side each other it may have been feasible that you developed some kind of insulin resistance due to an imbalance in one or more hormones....

regardless, your here now......;)

what have you been told to do thus far with regards to managing the diabetes..?

mmm just take prescribed drugs by the doctor, exercise everyday and I also have to control my diet

that's it I guess

Do you know what your blood sugar levels were when you were diagnosed? If not, it will help you to find out. These levels are important.

Hi. Yes, it's worth keeping an open mind about the T2 versus T1 diagnosis until you see the results of dieting. By that I mean having a low-carb diet. Are you currently overweight? I'm sure it's possible that the kidney condition could have upset the hormones and also note if you are on steroids these cause raised blood sugar. T2 rather than T1 is very unusual in a teenager so keep an open mind and discuss options and reasons with the GP next time.
