I'm really not having a good weekend

Woke up this morning with a bloodshot right eye. I have background retinopathy (prob brought on by pregnancy).
Is this a symptom of it getting worse? Have had a quick look on the net but would like to hear opinions on here pls

This happened to me once when I had background retinopathy, scared me a little as I'd not had this before, it went away after a few days and a year or so down the line I reversed my background retinopathy. Please don't panic, it's a burst vessel so will clear up in a few days, if it affects your vision then see your doctor but if it's not causing an issue then try not to worry

Retinopathy affects the retina which is the light-sensitive layer inside the eye. It has no connection with any problems there may be with blood vessels in the white of the eye. There's some information about bloodshot eyes here:- http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/red-eye/Pages/Introduction.aspx
