i'm sick and have the runs

started thursday morning , violently sick and i couldn't take a breath and the runs, after vomiting every haalf hour i started feeling better , had some toast last night , woke up feeling nauseous and the runs again .i'm scared cos i have headache too and even drinking water makes me feel sick .
should i call the doctor ?

Definitely call the doctor, or 111 if you’re feeling very unwell.

Can you let us know how you get on please?
 
I have to check my sugar throughout the day its down to 7.7 ,drink water and if i feel any worse phone back later to assess me .

Hope you get better soon. It's the worst feeling vomiting. Wife and I had confirmed Campylobacter 2 years ago from a Kebab we both had. We have never felt so ill in our lives and were in bed for 5 days separate rooms. Fortunately we have 2 toilets in the house which seriously did help.
 
Please do phone back if you need to. You may need a test for COVID19. These weren't the symptoms I had but they do vary from person to person. Hopefully you will be feeling better by now and this post isn't needed.

Thanks i won't my brother is doing in to look after her and i am going to stay away for at least four days after symptoms are gone. I've got gaviscon which is helping to ease the nausea not sure what that will do to sugar levels but i have to feel better from this and it has started to work already .

thank you , i agree worse experience ever ,i am feeling much better now .
 
Feeling much better today still a little nausea after eating but nothing like i was feeling , I woke at 7 and my blood sugar was 6.1 so that is in the normal range .

All I can eat for now is plain foods and I am pleased i had some ready brek in and have eaten a small bowl of that . I thought it would be good as its got vitamins in it , I know it can be quite carby , but right now i need something to give me some nourishment .

I'll check my blood again soon to see how I am doing . I'm calling the doctor tomorrow to make an appointment for my A1c test and I will discuss this sickness with the nurse see what she suggests .

Someone said I could be celiac , so i will mention that . This has happened 4 times since being diagnosed with type 2 and the symptoms seem to build up over months then bang i am violently sick .

So I've also lost another 10 pounds since November last year so all in all I have lost round four stone since 2017 . The sickness this time was the worse for me and i lost four pounds in three days .

I do feel much better though and thank you everyone for your kind words x

Thank you :), and tested my sugar just now as been to sleep lol and it is 7.4 . It's not ideal after food because that is about three hours after eating but I think under the circumstances it is fine .
 
and more normal now 6.8 after sausage and mash , strange how some foods we can even think of eating after being ill, but I am now feeling back to my old self again :)
 
Glad you are feeling better. It does sound like you need to get to the bottom of this as this sickness keeps happening, perhaps some more extensive investigation is warranted. It’s obviously not the keto you thought it was so maybe there some other intolerance going on. good luck at the appointment getting some headway made. Let us know how you get on
 
I'm waiting for a call from my doctor cos I am still feeling nauseous so will update . Thank you again all .
