I think maybe Steve Redgrave the rower could give you inspiration, he changed his way of controlling his T1 by having small meals and dividing up his insulin, into about 6 parts per day. Exercise must only be done to your own bodies levels of fitness and never push yourself past the stop point. I read somewhere that to start off you could and walk, at level pace for short distances and the build it up slowly, and keep monitoring your bs. levels. Also cardio, could be increased by swimming as this is none weight baring and you can only swim at your own pace. Maybe you could look through the diabetes website for their advice and guidance, ttfn

Actually Steve Redgrave is type 2, he is on a pump, for training he ate a lot of carbs and it was easier to have the pump.
Have you tried or looked at HIIT? There are some really good exercises on you tube.

It all depends on your age and fitness. Even a brisk walk will reduce your blood levels. A simple workout will also do wonders over time, you just have to see what works.
