incident with diabeties and volunteering :(

@Riva_Roxaban @StewM @EllieM @TriciaWs @Penquin47210 @KK123

Thanks guys. As they are a charity I did try to take up with their trustees who replied to the first couple letters but the last one following their replies up was sent like over a month ago and haven’t got back. As there a charity I don’t want to get the law involved and anyway it’s their loss. I was the main volunteer there just after lockdown. I’m just going to find somewhere else with animals that accepts my Diabeties. I had been volunteering there for around 3 years.

(They might of had previous issues before as one of the staff members jobs changed just because of his asthma and a couple of other volunteers who had type 2 (not type 1) Diabeties hadn’t been in when they were in often majority of the time, none of them the staff new why. Although apparently the previous CEO randomly walked out one day. So he might of known as no one knew why he walked out) so it’s possibly it might of happened before not just with diabetes but other conditions too.

So I’m just going to move on and find another place with animals and that accepts my Diabeties

Disappointing outcome, to be sure, and not something that should happen but, pragmatically, you'll probably be better off working with organisation that has a better relationship with their volunteers.
