Inconsistent insulin response...anyone else found this?

TYpe 1 for several years.

Occasionally, in spite of taking the same amount of levimir, my background sugars get higher for a time and without any explanation. I find that this occurs even if i seriously cut back on carbs. I used to think it was a bad batch of insulin or maybe because i carry it with me, ie in my pocket, it might degrade somewhat but im not so sure now

Has anyone else found this?

The warmth will certainly make it degrade faster that's for sure, however it could be an insulin absorption problem at your injection sites, if you don't already make sure you rotate where you inject.

Is it just the background Levemir that is causing the raised sugars and not perhaps the Bolus as well?
